JVC DD-3 Networked Home Theater
Everyone wants to play in Networked Home Theater space these days, but it’s very hard, of course.
Check out the Mini-Review of JVC DD-3 Networked Home Theater unit, from our friends at Gizmodo.
As usual, the basic functionality is fine. Things like DVD playback and even basic Standard Definition DivX playback, which many cheap players gotten down by now.
But, from $1000 HDMI capable system, one expects more, of course. And where are DVR/PVR functions?
With rapidly evolving technology, embedded device solution just isn’t going to cut it. I think Xbox 360 is better networked home theater solution, since it talks with configurable/upgradeable computer, for it’s media streaming functions. Connect it to capable Windows Vista Premium with TV-Capture card, and you’re off!
