Tivo Blue Screen of Death?
Last night, I was watching some shows on my Series 2 Tivo, when I decided I wanted to play one of the games included in the box. Being a big fan of casual gaming, I love to play the three games included with my Tivo: SameGame, Word Smith and Skull & Bones.
But when I tried to click on SameGame, Tivo put up the annoying “Please Wait” icon and I waited. And waited. It took over two minutes, even close to three minutes, before I got the error message below:
Has anyone else seen this error before? I consider it to be Tivo’s Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). The “Can’t Run” reference must be one of the weirdest error messages I’ve ever seen. What is an HTTP failure and what does “error reading header 0×50005″ mean?
Although you can recover from this error–unlike the real BSOD–it’s quite annoying and not very helpful. The game worked just a few days ago, and now it’s not.
I’ve done a search on Google, and haven’t seen almost anything about this error. A few people have posted questions about this error, but no one has answered.
If anyone know about this, please let me know.

1 done know if this is true, But it acts like the Tivo Server is not respondingit have tried rebooting the Tivo and just re-attempting Starting de application. For example Podiast will not start for me I I just keep trying and eventually it starts up as if nothing is wrong usually takes less than 7-10 tries

Well, I’ll keep trying. I actually got one of the games to work, Wordsmith. But the Pirate’s game still gives me the same confounding error.
