What Kind of Plasma TV Should I Buy to Watch My PVR?

Consumer Reports says: “The Panasonic TH-50PZ700U had the best picture of any flat-panel TV we’ve ever tested.” This probably doesn’t sit well with the Pioneer Elite Fanboys out there, but you’ll just have to take it up with Consumer Reports.
Why did it get such good reviews? It’s 1080p. It faithfully reproduces the finest details. It has vibrantly rich colors, and center-of-the-earth blacks. The picture is so good in fact, that it has darn near 3D-like qualities about it.
They also liked the price tag = $2,999.95
